Meet at Celery Flats Interpretive Center to explore the biodiversity of "nearby nature" in your local park. Bring binoculars, butterfly nets, cameras, or a favorite field guide and observe life with the help of a KNC naturalist. These family programs are a cooperative effort between the Kalamazoo Nature Center and the Portage Parks and Recreation Department. Generous support has been given by the Portage Public Library.

Visit with the animals and enjoy a new activity each week. Learn more about the animals in the barn and the crops growing in the Veggie Garden. Drop-in activities for ages 2-8.

Take a walk looking for native Michigan butterflies and moths. Learn identifying characteristics and try your hand at capturing specimens along the way. We will finish in the Butterfly House and see who is emerging from their chrysalis! Outdoor trail walk with activities.

From June 11 through September 8, ride in a rare 1929 New Standard D-25 biplane, one of only seven flying in the world or you can fly a PT-17 Boeing Stearman. Call today!
